The Gift of the Three Principles

The Three Principles Explained

I was sitting on my favorite bench behind our house, in the sunshine. The weather was beautiful – and yet, there was this uneasy feeling inside me, a restlessness I couldn’t name. And then it came back to me: the gift of the Three Principles – Universal Mind, Universal Consciousness, and Universal Thought – moment by moment, they are creating my reality. Nothing else. Depending on how I relate to these three principles, my reality is shaped. Truly – nothing else. No person, no situation, nothing outside of myself.

What does that mean?
It means there is nothing I need to be upset about.
Nothing that can force an uncomfortable experience upon me.
Because in the moment I remember this truth, the uneasy feeling loses its structure.
It’s simply there – and yet, it’s also not. All judgment falls away. And in that moment, inner peace returns. There is only the here and now. My mind becomes still, I become present to this very moment, my body settles into deep relaxation. Because – as I said – there is only now.

The Gift of the Three Principles

Since the day you were born, you have carried this gift within you – we all do.

Universal Mind

Some call it God, others Allah, Prana, Source, or Universal Intelligence.
It is everything – and nothing. It is form and formlessness. It is what allows all things to come into being: What makes the flowers bloom in spring, what keeps your heart beating at night. It is unconditional love that connects us all – the compassion we feel for animals, the empathy we share with others. It is the force behind the creation of our planet and the universe. It is the all, and the nothingness.

Universal Consciousness

The capacity for awareness – it exists in every living being.
Consciousness allows us to perceive form. And form is the expression of thought. When our consciousness becomes shallow, we momentarily lose our sense of love and compassion. But when consciousness deepens, we enter into a field of unconditional love and understanding.

Mental health lies deep within the consciousness of every human being –
buried under all the personal thoughts we innocently tend to drown in day after day.

Universal Thought

Sydney Banks said:
“The entire universe is Thought.”

Thought is the creative tool through which we experience and shape our world.
It is the bridge from the formless to form.

Imagine this:
Thought is the brush, and you are the painter.
Mind and consciousness are the color and the canvas. And just as you paint with a brush, you can use the creative power of Thought to shape your life, moment by moment.

These three Principles act like a filter, or a dreamcatcher, through which you experience your reality.
They are not yours or mine – they are universal.
We all create through them.
They are neutral, timeless, beyond space and matter – and they are always constant.

In the moment I glimpse a deeper understanding of these Principles, it no longer makes sense for me to remain in discomfort. My mind becomes quiet. I no longer take life personally in that moment. There is only the here and now. Total acceptance. My ego steps aside, and peace returns.

It doesn’t take years to find peace – only a deeper awareness of these Three Principles.

Learning never ends. Our consciousness, our immersion in this understanding, keeps expanding – it’s a bottomless well. And in a single moment, when our consciousness rises, we see ourselves – or others – just a little more clearly and with more Love.

Because, as Sydney Banks said:
“Happiness is only one thought away.”
